Jay Killough
Associate Director, University Career Services, Texas Tech University
Jay Killough is Associate Director of University Career Services at Texas Tech University. During the 2004-2005 school year, Jay - along with other strengths advocates - led the implementation of strengths on the Texas Tech campus. Since that time, StrengthsQuest has been a key element for many of University Career Services' offerings, and Gallup strengths have become a common language across campus. With more than 23,000 student users, StrengthsQuest has made an impact on students' lives in every college and in many other areas on campus, including Red Raider Orientation, University Student Housing, and student organizations. StrengthsQuest is also integrated into faculty/staff team trainings.
Currently, Jay is working on his doctorate in family and consumer sciences education. As part of this work, a key area of interest is to incorporate strengths in AchieveTexas, an education initiative designed to prepare students for a lifetime of success. Jay would love to visit with others about their StrengthsQuest journey, whether it is about developing a strategy for success on their campus or about their individual strengths. His Signature Themes are Woo, Activator, Positivity, Strategic, and Input.
